One To Watch :: The Vestals

Okay, let's start off by saying there is not a lot to be found about The Vestals. What is known is that there are five of them and they hail from Newport, south Wales. They appear to have formed late in 2011 and may have connections to a previous band named Boy Wonder. Other than that, they have style, catchy tunes and a live stage presence that looks set to put them out there for big things this year. With a handful of shows during 2012 (including an appearance at Swn Festival) they kicked off 2013 last night playing at London's Hoxton Bar & Kitchen for the Artrocker New Blood Festival. Bit bloody good they were too.

But don't be swayed by what we say. Listen to their debut single release 'Perfect Pain'/'Seventeen' out on February 11 through Killing Moon and decide for yourself. We think you'll like it.

And we did find out that they purport to be: Adam - lead vocals, guitar; Sam - lead guitar, Rich - drums; Rohan - bass; Gethin - guitar, backing vocals.
