Something of a mystery character: we know he's 28, hails from Ripon, North Yorkshire, somewhere in the north of England, has remixed Astronauts Etc, Tythe and Phoenix, and makes in his words, "not very danceable dance music' and that's about it.
We disagree firmly on the last statement, and to prove it take a listen to new track 'GBG Belongs To You' just unveiled. Using synths and vocal samples together, put through a computer with drum machine and keyboards. live percussion and vocals, it's a mix that creates the perfect Summer-like sound for typically grey British days.
Catch Joel Hood at Bestival in September, with other dates to be confirmed. His debut EP is also expected later this year.
