'I Love You' is probably an apt title for a track, given how these four guys from Dublin have ramped themselves up to become one of 2014's most lauded; impressing festival crowds at The Great Escape back in May, which followed hot on the heels of the seven-minute 'Lawman' marathon.
With new single 'De Bom Bom' imminent, they offload the other side of the 7": under two-and-a-half minutes of a riotous cover of Beat Happening’s 'I Love You'. Girl Band’s version of the 80s punks' original takes it to about as different a level as it could get, with guitar riffs slipping off easier than a pole dancer down a wet incline, and a bass line that whacks you full in the face.
