It seems to be much the thing these days for bands to sneak out under a cloak of virtual invisibility, at least as far as finding out information on at least. Latest in this line to assail our ears are Flor.
Released on November 11, 'Heart' is the first single from the four-piece who hail originally from Hood River in Oregon, and are now seemingly Los Angeles-based - where they played their debut live show a week ago.
Other than that...all we have is 'Heart', which may well be enough for now. A rush of shimmering washed out synths that weave along in amidst a subtle percussion flow that reminds one of Bastille or Owl City, it's a polished and accomplished first offering.
An impressive debut that makes Flor a band to keep track of as more of this standard will surely see them in a good position on tastemakers' radar in 2015.
Flor play The Merrow, San Diego on November 19.
